Big Top Bebop Road Rally
Submitted by alaskasc on Thu, 2008-07-03 16:24.Come join the Road Rally community as we enjoy a run through Eagle River with the "Big Top Bebop Road Rally" on Tuesday evening, July 8th! Registration will begin at 6:15pm at the Eagle River Center (the big white building belonging to the University of Alaska just after the exit at Eagle River). Rallymaster Gail Engblom has prepared a nice evening route taking you up and down the hills of scenic Eagle River. This rally will be celebrating the beginning of the Eagle River Bear Paw Festival...Join Us!

Arctic Alaska Region’s “S.O. Solo” – Champion Event #5 and Solo Drags

Solo, July 12th & 13th, 2008 will be at Alaska Raceway Park, come on out and enjoy a fun Arctic Alaska Region weekend of the Continental Auto Group Championship Season! Bring your friends and family out to enjoy and partake in our 5th Solo Championship Event of the season and Solo Drags!
It is a 2 day event. The Champ course promises to be fast and challenging, putting each driver to the test Saturday. On Sunday the popular Solo Drags will put 2 drivers at a time to the test; this is a special double elimination unique event to Alaska and SCCA. And don't forget to pre-register and pre-pay before July 2nd May and save yourself $10.

We welcome Jennifer and Marcus Merideth, SCCA members from Michigan, as our guest instructors this year. Four of us spent time with them in San Antonio at the SCCA National Convention in February, and our legendary guest instructor Howard Duncan gave them thumbs-up too!

The first Memorial Day Challenge was such a great success we had to do it again. Bring your friends and family out to enjoy the 3rd championship event of the season and partake in a Memorial Day tradition; burgers and dogs hot off the grill. Add in some potato salad, chips and a coke and you shouldn't go away hungry; and don't forget the ice cream. The course promises to be fast and challenging, putting each driver to the test. So come on out and enjoy an Arctic Alaska Region tradition; The Memorial Day Challenge! And don't forget to pre-register and pre-pay before 16 May and save yourself $10.
